Below is a list of organizations and programs that offer opportunities in support of undergraduate research.

Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR)

UNT is a member of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) and staff members regularly attend CUR meetings for the latest information on undergraduate research.

For faculty members just beginning to work with undergraduate students, the Honors College is able to provide a copy of How To Mentor Undergraduate Researchers, a publication of the Council on Undergraduate Research. Faculty mentors who would like a copy should send a request to glenisson.deoliveira@unt.edu.

National Conferences on Undergraduate Research (NCUR)

We work closely with NCUR to create opportunities for our students to present their research. For more information on NCUR, go to www.ncur.org.

National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)

Each summer, the National Science Foundation funds hundreds of REUs for undergraduates. These academic programs are located at colleges and universities across the country, including UNT. To see the available programs and sites, visit www.nsf.gov to search the list.

NASA Undergraduate Research Program

NASA pairs undergraduates with NASA personnel for eight-week summer programs. For more information, go to www.nasa.gov.

Southwestern Medical Center Research Fellowship Program

UT Southwestern offers an intensive research program for students going into biological research. For more information, visit www.utsouthwestern.edu.
